Jordi visits China
Hosted by Fangliang He, Jordi has been lecturing at East China Normal University in Shanghai, where he delivered the first DAXIA Lecture in Ecology and met with students and postdocs. After a couple of days in Shanghai, he visited Baishanzu National Park where he could learn more about the work on the forest plot set up there and the ongoing efforts in rescuing the very endangered endemic tree species Abies beshanzuensis. The tree is considered a “living fossil” and critically endangered species, of which only three trees were left growing in the region.
